John Sexton, Vice President of Sales
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma – a native Oklahoman.
Industry Experience: I answered a newspaper ad in 1983 when Altec Lansing relocated from Southern California to Oklahoma and went to work as the Customer Services Manager. A year later, I was asked if I wanted to do International Sales. After a nanosecond pause I said, “Wait…you want to pay me to travel all over the world and sell great products?” and embarked on a great International sales career that lasted until the Telex & EVI reorganization, then worked as a Manufacturer’s Rep in the Southwest for three years. In 2001, I was given the opportunity to re-launch the Altec Lansing brand in the pro audio market, which we ran profitably for seven years. After gracefully exiting Altec I joined Ashly Audio – first as National Sales Manager and recently as VP of Sales. It’s been a great ride!
Hobbies: University of Oklahoma Sooners college football, Oklahoma City Thunder NBA team, and music! (Any early Beatles, jazz vocals by Steve Tyrell, Lifehouse...)

Michael Updaw, Eastern Regional Sales
Location: Webster, New York “Where life is worth living”
Industry Experience: Chock full of life’s little lessons. I have been with Ashly long enough to remember when digital was simply a reference to your watch.
Hobbies: Trying to steer a family ship of (1) male and (7) females. The dog freaks every time I leave.
Road Dawg Story: I once had to wrestle John Waite until I could prove to him that my suitcase wasn’t his ( Turns out we both caught the sale at T.J. Max). My skivvies sealed the deal.

Todd Smith, Western Regional Sales
Location: Livin’ in the thin air of Colorado Why Colorado: Hiking, Biking and Skiing in the clouds baby!
Industry Experience: Spent the last 17 years trying to find ways to play my music louder. It seemed like working for a premier audio company could help with that. It didn’t get any louder at my last job with Peavey Electronics or my 5 years at Ultimate Support Systems (although I did get a very nice pair of speaker stands). It’s time to get serious about sound… all 12,000 WATTS of it… I joined Ashly Audio in December 2009 to take over the West.

Location: Oklahoma City (You don’t like the weather? Wait a couple hours.)
Industry Experience: Over 20 years working for audio manufacturers has left a permanent mark. Altec Lansing, Electro-Voice and University Sound shaped my early audio knowledge before spending seven years as a Manufacturer's Rep in the Southwest USA. For the past 5 years I ran my own a consulting company and designed a variety of sound systems in the US and a few international. Joined Ashly Audio in April 2012 as the Central Regional Sales Mangler... I mean... Manager
For a Good Time: Run sound once in a while, build and ride motorcycles, and now hooked on riding a Jet Ski
